The Black Thai serves up a funky fusion of American-Thai food in Greenville, SC, offering a fun and creative, ever-changing menu that blends traditional Thai dishes with modern American street food.
Owned and operated by GVL natives, the concept for Black Thai was inspired from the experiences shared living in Jackson, Wyoming together by owners, Brayden Wynn, Dean Johnson and Charlie Phillip all shared while living in Jackson, Wyoming together back in 2012. Free ski-lift passes and restaurant life brought the three together back in 2012, working on the line in a resort kitchen was when they first began to dream up the concept for Black Thai. After moving back to Greenville, they reunited over the same desire to live free or “thai hard” doing what they loved most — making their dream a reality and launching Black Thai in August 2018.
